Let's briefly analyze the steps that are necessary to organize a company in the Free Zone.

First of all, you need to determine the zone in which you want to create your company.

There are more than 50 Free Economic Zones in the UAE and each of them offers its own types of business licenses, which must be obtained in order to register a company. In order to effectively conduct your business in the future, it is advisable to choose a zone and a license that fully meets your requirements. For example, in the free Economic Zone of Sharjah Media City (or SHAMS), a list of available licenses can be found on their website. For many other zones, such lists are also available.

Next, it is necessary to collect documents for the purpose of passing compliance procedures. In the UAE, these documents are standard:

• passports of the founders;
• CV (CV) of the founders;
• document confirming the address of residence (Utility Bill);
• bank letter of recommendation;
• the company's business plan is in free form.

At this stage, you will need to provide at least three variants of names for your company for the purposes of obtaining approval from the zone. After receiving such approval, the registration processis already started directly.

The registration of the company itself takes no more than a week and takes place completely remotely, that is, you do not need to physically be in the UAE – the zones organize meetings with the founders online for verification: identity verification, phone numbers and email addresses.

After verification, the license is issued within 2-3 business days, and the license is the main corporate document of the company, containing most of the information about the company.
