Ivan has more than 7 years of experience in legal work in the field of IT/TMT.
Ivan is the author of publications on various issues of law in the high-tech sector for leading business and professional media (Kommersant, Pravo.ru). Ivan speaks at leading discussion platforms (Vedomosti Conferences, Russia Open Source Summit, Preqveca).

Ivan hosts lectures and round tables (for the largest companies, corporate and government-supported business accelerators) on intellectual property law, regulation of unmanned technologies and artificial intelligence.

In 2016, Ivan graduated from the Faculty of Law of the National Research University - Higher School of Economics and received a bachelor's degree.

In 2018, Ivan received a Master of Law degree, having completed the master's program at the Moscow State Law University named after O.E. Kutafin (MSAL) in corporate law.

• A series of pre-investment due diligence for the largest Russian telecom operator. The projects included analysis of various intellectual property-related businesses: an e-commerce software company, a large animation studio, a group developing innovative hardware and software for agriculture.

• IP due diligence and support for the transfer of intellectual property rights for a leading investment fund acquiring the largest subscription service for mobility and other devices. The project included (i) a legal analysis of the rights to software, unique hardware, trademarks, domain names and know-how, as well as (ii) the preparation of a set of contractual documentation for the transfer of intellectual property rights from a foreign copyright holder company to a Russian target structure.

• Pre-M&A IP due diligence in relation to the Russian business of the global leader of the tobacco market. Legal analysis of the intellectual property portfolio, including trademarks (over 1300 trademarks; verification of the intra-group international licensing structure) and patents.

• Pre-M&A IP due diligence in relation to one of the largest manufacturers and distributors of cosmetics and skin care products in Russia and the CIS. Legal assesment of know-how protection and analysis of an extensive portfolio of Russian and international trademarks.

• Turnkey legal support for a partial sale of a well-known EdTech group (top 10 in Russia) to the largest Russian IT holding. Legal support for sellers in the subsequent implementation of the options provided for in the transaction.

• Legal support for the creation of a joint venture for the development and commercialization of building information modeling (BIM) technology, including the preparation of a corporate agreement and verification of intellectual property rights to key IP assets transferred to the joint venture by one of the founders.

• Legal support on corporate law issues in the creation of a joint venture by the largest Russian banks for the development and application of blockchain technologies.
