The "digital nomad" visa is a visa for remote workers that guarantees its holder the right to reside in a certain country for a long period.
Often, a "digital nomad" visa is confused with a freelancer visa. The main difference is that the holder of a "digital nomad" visa must have an employment contract outside the country of application for a visa and a confirmed income under this employment contract. The holder of a freelancer visa can receive income from any country and not have a permanent employment contract.
There are more than 30 countries in the world in Europe, Asia, the Caribbean and Latin America that issue "digital nomad" visas. In modern circumstances, there are certain restrictions for Russian citizens in Europe to obtain such visas, so we will consider the possibility of obtaining a "digital nomad" visa in one of the most popular destinations for relocation – Latin America.
"Digital nomads" are given discounts on housing and public transport, as well as air travel on local airlines. There are other preferences for "digital nomads" depending on the country.
