UAE creates new license for Artificial Intelligence companies

Despite the current geopolitical situation, the sphere of legislative regulation of artificial intelligence in different states does not stand still and continues to develop actively.

On March 1, 2022, the Dubai International Financial Center (DIFC) announced the launch of a new license for activities in the field of artificial intelligence (AI).

It is assumed that this type of license will contribute to the implementation of the country's developed strategy in the field of artificial intelligence. The main goal of the strategy is to increase the reputation of the UAE in the field of AI by attracting AI companies and developers from around the world. Companies that have received this type of license will be able to work directly in the DIFC Innovation Center itself, which is the largest cluster of fintech and innovative companies in the region.

Moreover, employees of companies that have received this type of license will have the opportunity to obtain preferential "golden" UAE visas, which, in modern realities, is a great advantage.
