Yesterday, March 10, 2022, the Government of the Russian Federation determined the list of goods and equipment previously imported into Russia from abroad, which are temporarily prohibited from being exported from the country to all countries except the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) - Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, as well as Abkhazia and South Ossetia.
It will be possible to export goods to the latter countries on the basis of a special permit from authorized relevant ministries (Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Transport, Ministry of Industry and Trade, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Natural Resources).
The list includes technological, telecommunication, medical equipment, vehicles, agricultural machinery, electrical equipment - more than 200 items in total, including railway wagons and locomotives, containers, turbines, metal and stone processing machines, monitors, projectors, consoles and panels. The full list will be published in the near future in the relevant act of the Government of the Russian Federation.
The restriction will be in effect until the end of 2022.
Also, the Government of the Russian Federation temporarily restricted the export of certain types of timber from Russia. It is banned in States that have committed unfriendly acts, according to the approved list. The restriction will also be in effect until the end of 2022.
