What is next?

The situation around Russian billionaire Oleg Tinkoff is still heating up.

The other day the businessman has announced his illness. The founder of Tinkoff Bank has been diagnosed with an acute form of leukemia.

The statement followed a few days after his litigation with The Internal Revenue Service (USA) became known.

It should be remembered that the indictment was published on the night of March 6. According to the document, the founder of Tinkoff Bank is accused of the concealment of $1 billion assets from the taxation while renouncing American citizenship in 2013. He is facing up to 6 years in prison.

The American tax authorities’ accusations against Oleg Tinkoff became known on February 28 when TCS Group Holding itself reported about it. The American Tax Service believes that through structures in the British Virgin Islands Tinkoff owned shares worth a total of $ 1 billion, but filed an inaccurate tax return, which reported income of less than $ 206 000. In the other tax reporting document of the person who renounced citizenship, the amount did not exceed $ 300 000.
