Karen Shakhnazarov addressed the Private Equity and M&A Conference

Today, on February 11, Karen Shakhnazarov, Partner and Head of the M&A practice, direct and venture investments, cross-border transactions of O2 Consulting, spoke at the IV Annual Private Equity and M&A conference organized by Regent Capital Communications Ltd.

Karen took part in the session "The view of funds on the Private Equity market in Russia", where he presented the lawyer's view on the main trends, spoke about new opportunities and gave a forecast for 2021:

1. Covid-19: New standards in a new reality;

2. Main market trends, the impact of the pandemic on various sectors of the economy, forecast for 2021;

3. New in the work of lawyers on M&A transactions.

In particular, Karen commented on the recent changes in the work of a lawyer: "A huge acceleration of the terms of negotiations and closing of transactions. If traditionally, according to the experience, transactions take from two to four months in 2018, in 2020, customers demanded to close them within three to four weeks."

The conference gathered together representatives of private equity funds, family offices, investment banks, investment and industrial groups, private investors and other market participants to discuss the most pressing issues, search for strategies for further development and create new partnerships.
