Government measures to stabilize and develop the IT industry under sanctions

At this time of the most difficult challenges, we want to share information about measures aimed at supporting Russian IT companies.

State measures for the stabilization and development of the IT industry, in accordance with today's Presidential Decree:

• granting grants to companies for the development and development of IT products;
• provision of funds to accredited IT companies to improve the living conditions of employees and increase their wages;
• provision of preferential loans at a rate not exceeding 3% for current activities and new projects;
• establishment of a 0% income tax rate for accredited IT companies (the measure should be introduced by December 31, 2024);
• simplification of the procedure for employment of foreign citizens in an accredited IT company and obtaining a residence permit;
• establishment and distribution of tax benefits for accredited IT companies that receive income from advertising or providing additional services in their applications and online services, as well as from the implementation, installation, testing and maintenance of partner domestic IT products;
• exemption of accredited IT companies from tax, currency and other types of state control for up to 3 years;
• ensuring accelerated import substitution of software at critical information infrastructure facilities;
• granting citizens of the Russian Federation working in accredited IT companies the right to receive a deferral from conscription up to 27 years.

The implementation of these measures is entrusted to the Government of the Russian Federation, which should ensure the introduction of appropriate amendments to the legislation of the Russian Federation. For more information, follow the link.
