On 25 October 2018 Miss. Since 2015 Anna was involved in organisation of the international symposium on the economic crime, which was held annually in the University of Cambridge.

Anna spoke about this year participation with Mr. Karen Shakhnazarov, head of the M&A and Cross-Border Transactions Practice of O2 Consulting. The symposium was held for the 36-th time in the University of Cambridge between 2-9 September 2018 and attracted more than 2000 delegates from more than 100 countries.

Karen spoke at the 1.5-hour panel “How do we win against cybercrime and provide for data security?”, during the session he described current state of the cryptocurrency markets and ICOs, and touched upon the regulatory approaches in different countries.

Karen and Anna took part in the 4-hour round-table discussion, at which the participants discussed cooperation between regulators of different countries, SGOs and market participants in addressing the issues related to the cryptocurrencies exchange and ICOs.

Among the participants there were members of the House of Lords and the House of Commons of the UK Parliament, members of the European Parliament, representatives of the International Monetary Fund and other international organisations, high-level legal officials of departments of justice, representatives of the prosecutor’s offices, justices, lawyers of the international law firms of the highest league, representatives of the largest commercial banks and technology companies, international experts and professors of the best world law schools, offering their legal, tech and organisational solutions for the challenges caused by the economic crime.

We are grateful for the opportunity to participate in this remarkable event, to exchange the international experience and to contribute to the world’s discussion on the most significant legal issues. This event also gave us a great opportunity to network, establish useful business contracts and further develop our international practice and cooperation with English law firms.
